Yamazaki Mazak apprentices celebrated a series of wins at the 2018 Worcestershire Group Training Association (WGTA) Annual Awards evening.
The event, which showcases those that have excelled over the last 12 months, was held on Wednesday 14th November at Sixways Stadium in Worcester. Three Mazak apprentices picked up individual awards at the ceremony.
The first winner was Arandeep Kallar, an electrical apprentice in his second year. Arandeep scooped the Engineering Endeavour Award for the technical and personal skills he has established, as well as his “impressive commitment” and enthusiasm towards his apprenticeship.

Richard Smith, European Group Managing Director at Yamazaki Mazak commented: “It is not only our role to support and train the next generation of engineers, but to applaud their ongoing achievements as well. For that I’d like to wholeheartedly congratulate the apprentices on their respective wins at both the WGTA ceremony and our internal awards. All of them are brilliant examples to their peers and in particular, we hope that they will be seen as an inspiration by the newest intake of apprentices.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our Learning and Development Team, specifically Dave Barnett and Chris Morris, who play a vital role in our exceptional apprenticeship programme.”
